An otherwise normally subtle holiday usually marked by unpredictable weather; May long weekend took on a new meaning for Mel & I this year! We DJed & emceed  at the Wedding of a cool couple whose love for May long is contagious  – Jen & Paul.

We first connected with Jen in April, 2018 (one year before the wedding – Impressive planning Jen!) & kept in touch via emails, text messages and phone calls preparing for the wedding. Great detail went into the preparation process. We kept a file & updated it as needed as we do with all the events we host. Jen & Paul picked a customized upgrade of our Platinum DJ & lights package. Their package included eight hours of DJing & emceeing from cocktails to end of party, blue uplighting, sound active laser & LED disco lights, a bubble generating machine & “Name that tune” table competition game for buffet dinner. Jen & Paul chose One Friend by Keb’ Mo’ for their first dance. Perfect tempo for slow dancing & romantic lyrics – excellent choice!

French song La vi en rose by Edith Piaf was one of the audience’s favourite songs for the night. We played a well balanced blend of Classic Rock, Country, Hiphop and Top40 to which the audience responded well. It was a fun night start to finish! 

The song “May long, May long, May long” is still stuck in our heads with pleasant & lasting memories of a fun May long Weekend wedding! We are very grateful Jen & Paul hired us & wish them the best in their marriage!
